DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, February 19\, FVCC members will be heading to the Navy Seal Museum in San Diego. The museum is located at 1001 Kettner Blvd. near the Santa Fe Train Depot and USS Midway.\nThere is metered parking in front of the Dockside Restaurant. \nAfter the museum we’ll have lunch at the Dockside Restaurant. It’s an awesome location at 1360 N. Harbor Dr. After lunch\, we can tour the Santa Fe Train Station\, which features art-deco at its finest. \nWe will carpool to help with parking\, etc. Let’s meet at the 395 Park-N-Ride at 9:30 AM and take off from there. SUMMARY:Deer Park Winery\, Museum\, Car Show\, Picnic!
DESCRIPTION:Arrive at Deer Park Winery 10:00 AM in the lower parking lot in your show car and park together\, I’ll direct traffic and parking…park to right side of the lower lot.  It’s adjacent to around 20 picnic tables\, benches\, and room to commiserate!   Bring brunch and lunch food to share\, heavy appetizers\, finger foods\, and desserts..  After looking at our cars and visiting and snacking we can go as a group through the museum ($10.00 group rate).  There are three buildings. They have one of the world’s largest convertible collections as well as period-era household machines and appliances that we all grew up with or watched our grandparents use.  Furniture\, kitchen appliances\, washer\, dryers\, you name it!   Some rare cars too;  1 1954 Kaiser Darrin ( the sliding doors)\, 1941 and 1954 Packard’s\, 1949 Lincoln Cosmopolitan convertible\, 1941 Buick Roadmaster Phaeton\, and a Hudson Pacemaker.  See the picture of Lawrence Welk hugging the Deer Park owners. After the Museum tour it’s time for some picnic lunch and wine tasting! Then almost next door\, is the historic Chinese Bistro in Railroad Cars\, sight of where we brought AACA Officers\, Judges\, and AACA members from around the country on our Fallbrook Regional Nationals Meet Tour\, 2019\, already 7 years ago\, including the Motte\, Chinese Bistro\, and March Field Air Museum. Dana Meadows will lead us back to the famed Indy Car collection\, shop\, and more of Tom Malloy\, Car Racer\, and founder of Trench Shoring Corporation\, involved in the heavy-equipment utilization of building the infrastructure and communities of Southern California.  He did it all.   He will narrate and point out specific racers he and others drove and owned\, Gurney and Foyt cars and stories\, too.  Car pool as parking is limited. Admission is $20.00.  It’s a jaw-dropping\, eye-opener. Dana has the address and directions.  Lunch TBA following.
