Come and go as you please or caravan. SUMMARY:Midway Museum Tour
DESCRIPTION: What: Special FVCC tour on the Midway Museum carrier conducted by Jim Binford who has at sea experience on seven US and British carriers including USS MIDWAY. This tour will concentrate on carrier at sea operations\, primarily from the bridge perspective\, Combat Information Center (CIC)\, and Flag Plot War Room. However\, attendees will be able to tour Midway’s other exhibits including flight deck aircraft\, launch and recovery briefs\, and movie Battle of Midway\, engineering spaces and fire damage control. I recommend picking up the audio handset at the start of the tour for the remainder of the tour. \nWhen:   Meet at 0730 for instruction and receive admission tickets. Depart NLT 0745 on 12 September 2024 from HWY 15/76 Park and Ride.  The reason for early departure is highway construction traffic and plan to board Midway at 0900 before the Museum opens to the public at 1000. Double up in car rides since public parking at the pier is now $20 per car and to use HOV lanes. \nParticulars: Cost is a discounted group rate of $25 per person Use the following link to sign up to purchase tickets. When you sign up\, indicate if you will be doing the BRIDGE tour(B) or the general ship tour (GS) spaces which will indicate which group you will be assigned. Sign up early since can only accommodate 20 persons per Bridge tour at a time due small space. May have to cap bridge attendees at 40 (two groups) – can accommodate any number rest of the Midway tour. \nWear comfortable walking shoes and shorts/ slacks. Ladies no dresses as will be doing some inclined ship ladder (Stairs) climbing. We will also have lunch onboard Midway (own cost) at the Midway Café which serves grilled sandwiches/ beer / wine. Free to leave after lunch or continue the audio tour of the ship. \nThere are several flight levels on the Island to reach the Bridge / Pri Fly with inclined ship stairs but with handrails. Also\, there are elevators to/from the Hanger Deck ship entry to the Flight Deck. \nWhen you sign up\, indicate if you will be doing the BRIDGE tour (B) or the General Ship tour (GS) spaces.  This will indicate to which group you will be assigned. \nNote: When considering a bridge tour there are four flight levels from the flight deck in the Island to reach the Bridge / Pri Fly using inclined ship ladders (stairs) only but with handrails\, however consider what goes up must come down if mobility challenged. There is a small elevator to/ from the Hanger Deck ship entry to the flight deck but no elevator to the bridge. \nWe hope you will be able to attend. DESCRIPTION:It’s time for Spaghetti Night! \nThis Event is Sponsored by the Friends of Fallbrook Community Airpark (FFCAP) \nSeveral people from the Car Club have attended the annual Spaghetti Night at Fallbrook Airpark in years past. This year it is on Saturday\, September 14\, at 6:00 PM. \n$14 per person (no tips required or expected). \nIt’s a well-attended community event for both Airpark pilots\, and the public. It is held in a very large hangar. They put some vintage planes on display\, and offer a full meal of spaghetti\, special on sight made meat sauce or Marinera\, garlic bread\, salad\, dessert\, drinks including beer and wine\, soft drinks\, and water. This is the nominal menu\, with possibilities of additions and substitutions. \nYou won’t go away hungry. \nWe would like 5 or 6 FVCC cars to display with the planes. We do want to keep to that number to make sure there is room for the planes and some other cars from other pilot sources. \nWe would like the cars there by 4:30 PM\, and dinner starts at 6 PM.  There is room for everyone\, but we need a count of approximately how many. If anyone wants to help setup after placing their cars\, or those without cars\, then stick around after 4:30 for setup (there will be a lot of help for setup\, so helping is more of a community thing rather than a big need). \nCasual RSVPs to determine approximate participation headcount\, is needed by Monday\, 2 September to piperarcher47@gmail.com.

DESCRIPTION:Rancho California RV Resort \nAguanda\, CA \nPlease arrive by 7am to park your vehicle. Enter the resort just right of the Security Gate. The car show physical address is Rancho California RV Resort\, 45525 Hwy 79 South\, Aguanga CA. All vehicles will be located around the main fishing lake on the grass or on the street surrounding the lake. Each car will be assigned designated parking space. There will be food\, music and various vendors near the car show area. A small market and café with restrooms are directly adjacent to the vendor and lake area for your convenience. Additional cars or trailer vehicles must park by the Main Club House area. Our guides will escort you to the extra parking area and drive you back in a golf cart. Registered vehicles receive a Goodie Bag and a car show cap.
