Fallbrook Vintage Car Show 36th Anniversary
Commemorative Poster 2001
“The Grand Tradition”
With its thirty-five foot tall Victorian tower, dramatic entrance, and heart shaped lake with waterfall and swans, the Grand Tradition has been the site of numerous events. Such as weddings, banquets, proms, dinner dances, not to mention the annual Concert on the Green. Owned and operated by the McDougal family since 1984 the Grand Tradition is currently averaging 225 Weddings and Receptions a year.
This year’s poster features a 1904 Model B Rear entrance Tonneau Cadillac and a 1910 Model AA Maxwell and their owner’s, Bill & Anne Ottemann along with Verne & Jean Malueg all are members of the Fallbrook Vintage Car Club.
Poster Artwork by Jim Fahnestock…
This year’s Car Show poster is the fourth by local artist Jim Fahnestock. (Pictured with granddaughter Tiana) Jim opened his sign business in Fallbrook in 1989 but had already been in the outdoor advertising industry for many years. He has painted huge murals in Hollywood, Seattle and Southeast Asia. Last year Jim painted very large murals in Downtown Disney, Orlando, Fla. and in Indio, Ca. This attention to detail has brought to life the Grand Tradition and two beautiful Classic Cars; a 1910 Model AA Maxwell and a 1904 Model B Rearentrance Tonneau Cadillac.
