Depart Park N Ride 10:30 AM. See major exhibit on Betty Crocker of VC, full-sized Grizzly Bear, half-scale model airplane, famous western paintings. vchistory.com

Friday, January 23. Depart Park-N-Ride at 10:30 AM. Carpool.

Travel to Valley Center History Museum, 29200 Cole Grade Rd. See exhibits on VC history, famous celebrities that lived there, famous western paintings, Betty Crocker, and a private docent-led tour by a local historian.

Then, off to the famous restaurant: Fat Ivor’s Rib Rack for lunch for BBQ or just a sandwich around 12:30 then home.

Who had a residence in Valley Center? Just a few…Gary Cooper, Fred Astaire, Mae West, Paul Newman, June Alison, John Wayne and many others.

And the visitors? Wyatt Earp, Eleanor Roosevelt, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and Ronald Reagan.
